The last week of vacation is passing fast. Too fast. I still have a bunch to do at home, furnishing the bedroom and more.

Anyway, I try to do some work on my Plague Marines and I think they are coming out nice. It is a somewhat slower process than I expected but I am finally getting the robes painted as well as the ropes holding them together. The few weapon belts get the same treatment as the ropes. Six out of the ten primed models are done to this stage.

I am painting the robes with Vallejo Model Color German Grey (70995). The ropes and weapon belts get their colour from a pot of Citadel Rhinox Hide. I think it was a mistake gluing weapon and arms to the miniatures before painting – I will not do that again! Because of this I need to do a little touch up of the armour every now and then, while painting the robes. It is not too problematic but I could have saved some time on this. For repainting the armour I use Vallejo Model Air Aged White (71132).

I am aware the paint looks very thick in these pictures but it really is not. I always use well watered down or thinned out paints. I almost got myself into retaking the pictures but it is late and I need to get a lot of stuff done tomorrow.
